Joseph Alva aka TURBULOUS GENERAL began in the late 80's as a MC in the clubs of New-York, he used to MC on the microphone with Gassie Ranks, Mr Rockey, Daddy English, among others.

At the age of 16, he moved to Philadelphia to perform to the local clubs (Studio Seven, L and W, Yellow Bird, Upper Deck), he then went on tour with 'Magnum Force' Sound all over the United-States (Baltimore, New-Jersey, Brooklyn Caribbean, etc.).

In 1993, TURBULOUS loses his brother in gun violence, therfore he decided to go into the studio to record his first album 'Turbulous Raw As Ever', including his sensational succes 'Every Step You Take' dedicated to his brother.

After taking a brief pause in the musical movement, TURBULOUS is back with his new album 'Woman of a Noble Character' which was released in 2010 in the USA.
